I have lost my passion
For the words of rhyme
They used to come out easily
Draping like a vine
But my words have no more flow
I just can’t get it right
I sit up all day thinking
Straight into the night
No emotional drive
And no time to feel
My body keeps on going
In a circle like a reel
What am I going to do?
This talent is my soul
It helps me keep on going
It fills my inner hole
I’m reduced to ridicule
The art of misunderstanding
And where I’m going- who could say
It’s a long road where I’m standing
